Almost every weekend we venture down to our local farmer's market to pick up fish, eggs, fruit and cheese. We always like to see what's in season and if there's any fun new ingredients to try to make new recipes with! This weekend we stumbled upon blood oranges - a whole bag for only $5, so we couldn't resist. Because it was Saturday, our date night where we typically cook a 3 to 4 course dinner trying new recipes or cooking our favorites, we decided to try and make a new cocktail using our new ingredient. This cocktail is the product of our date night: a perfectly semi-sweet and smooth drink with gin, rosemary, blood orange and bitters topped with a spritz of sparkling water. Cheers!
Start my juicing your blood oranges and strain into your mason jar.
Add your rosemary sprigs.
And gin with ice and shake until chilled.
Double strain into your glass over a king cube. Add your bitters and top with sparkling water.
Enjoy!
