I love making smoothies in the morning for breakfast. Typically, I'll make my own granola (Healthy Homemade or Golden Granola are two of my favorites on the site), but recently I haven't had time to bake granola so, instead I started making no-bake "raw"nola. Basically, similar ingredients to other granolas, just no added sugar and no bake time. The figs in this recipe are so sweet it eliminates the need for agave or syrup! Another great thing about this recipe is that it's really quick to make. All you do is measure out your ingredients, throw them in a food processor, pulse, and voala! Top on your favorite smoothie, yogurt or ice cream!
Start with your ingredients measured out, and put them in your processor. I find that layering the figs in with the dry ingredients helps to make sure everything incorporates well when processing. Otherwise, you can end up with a bunch of fig paste at the top or bottom and your dry ingredients layered above or below - not good.
Pulse until your granola starts to clump together. You might need to shake or stir your ingredients. Once done, remove from your processor and put your no-bake granola into a mason jar for storing!
When transferring your granola, you can create granola "clusters" by scooping the granola out of the processor with your hand and making a fist. That way you have a mix of clusters and loose granola.
Finally, top on your favorite smoothie, yogurt, ice cream etc.!
