We love making this breakfast when having friends and family over for brunches on the weekend. It’s a fantastically fun and quick recipe where everyone can throw in a little creativity and chose their own shapes. Eggs in a basket are also great for those mornings when I’m dashing off to work and need a quick bite! Enjoy

Ingredients

Directions

Heat bread in the oven on broil or toaster until lightly brown. Use cookie cutter or alternative to cut out your “basket” for the egg in your toasted bread.

Bread Cut Out

Heat skillet to 3-4. Once hot, place toast on skillet with butter in the center, and gently pour egg yolk into the basket.

Toast on Skillet

Let sit for 3 min and flip. Egg should be lightly fried on the side facing down. You can also toast your basket cutout (ours was a little star) for a toasty side slice.

Continue flipping between "Egg Basket" toast sides until egg is completely cooked through.
